My Garden, August 2017

It’s cold, wet and windy

It’s August.

Apples fall to the ground

It’s not autumn.

Tomatoes are still green

No sunshine.

Onions bent and battered

Growth ceased.

But

Spinach is rampant

Rhubarb enormous

Courgettes prolific

Garlic terrific

Runner beans thriving

Look the sun’s peeping

Cold spell is past

Summer, at last.
