The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

The reading group has eleven members but just six attended this meeting. The comments about the book were still far ranging. One member, who could not come, wrote her opinion and loved it. Another said it was a good holiday read.

Others felt the characters were not credible or memorable. It was generally agreed that there were too many characters and the constant movements in time and place were confusing. There were also moments of good descriptive writing that were appreciated. The ending was a strange compilation of what might have been if the circumstances had been different and again people varied in their enjoyment of that. Generally we decided we would not recommend this book and gave it just 2 stars. I have not divulged the actual secret, just in case anyone is tempted to read it after this review!
